The alpha? I don't know exactly what that means. I did fiddle with some of the Nik collection filters, to make her a bit more watery.

Alpha channel is transparency. I tried to make something out of it but result feels unsatisfying to me since I couldn't separate her correctly from the background image so there's an "aura" effect.

Otoh, this is for illustration purpose.

try select the girl, contract the selecion 1px, invert the selection, and delete

Yeah, but if you do that, you end up with a blank/white silhouette so it gets much easier if you can work out of a multilayered pic and with a transparent layer. :)



Originally I was aiming for something like this ^ (basically this is just a random plus a transparent layer), but I had no idea what was behind the character in Fasold's JPG. ;) :) :P

Well, it has been some time! :)

But I've been fiddling with the program again, and I made an Oasis dryad for my computer game!
