I know lot of here use gimp.

I usualy suggest Photoshop CS2, what is free.

Now i suggest a paid program, what seems promising, and good alternation of newest versions of Photoshop: Affinity.
I just now bought, because right now only 39euros, what is compare to Photoshop, very cheap. So take a look, perhaps you will like too :)

If you would suggest another program (krita?), please share your experience :)
have a wonderful day

I'm using both GIMP and Krita.

Although I believe that Krita is more powerful (just gut feeling there :) ), I'm still mainly using GIMP, out of habit, learning a new soft takes much time. :)

But since I'm also a linux user I find it very convenient to use these two, because they are free, and because they are available as linux softs too. :)

Love Inkscape. Such a versatile program once I started to figure it out.
